PSYPACT

Access to mental health care continues to be a struggle for so many. PSYPACT offers a solution to expand that access.  ​PSYPACT is an interstate compact that to allows licensed psychologists to practice of telepsychology and conduct temporary in-person face-to-face practice of psychology across state lines legally and ethically without necessitating licensure in every state to practice.  ​PSYPACT is more than just a regulatory framework; it's a lifeline for individuals seeking mental health support. By eliminating the need for psychologists to obtain licenses in multiple states, PSYPACT opens doors to care for those in remote areas, geographic isolation, or without access to specialized services. 

Additionally, PSYPACT  provides more continuity of care for clients who need to relocate or just temporarily leave their home state for something like an extended vacation.  PSYPACT removes the stress of long periods without support or the  need to start over with a new therapist, coupled with a big life change like moving out of state.
